Celadon clouds set, porcelain, 80ml

Description

This set was made in porcelain and slip decorated with clouds. Glazed thickly in celadon. One side of the teapot clearly got more oxygen during firing than the other, hence the yellow hue. (The characteristic colour of celadon derives from an oxygen-starved atmosphere).

This is a charming, functional set. It is more beautiful than my photos would have you think…..
