Gaiwan, shino on porcelaneous clay, 110ml

Description

Gaiwan in porcelaneous clay (80% porcelain, 20% coarse iron clay) with a so-called “dry shino” glaze. This glaze characteristically “crawls” on textured clay exposing a little of the clay underneath here and there. The colours are nuanced and toasty, the pot is wonderfully tactile. The lid fit is perfect. Absolute max volume is 110ml, that’s where the lid meets the cup.
