Description
This teapot was handmade made in Limoges porcelain. It was glazed in an orange hue shino glaze developed by Malcolm Davis, a veteran US Potter. This glaze has a high content of soda ash precisely to trap carbon, but here the pot was seemingly just grazed by a whiff of carbon on one side. Carbontrap Shibos are a gamble each time, there’s no knowing how they will turn out.
