Description
This thin-walled, delicate bowl was thrown in porcelain on the potter’s wheel, then glazed inside out in a glaze containing copper. Copper glaze fires red when there is little oxygen present, and green when there is a lot of oxygen in the kiln. Therefore it is most interesting to place these pieces next to the flame where there is most turbulence in the atmosphere.
This piece turned out mostly pale green on the outside and inside it has varies shades of red. Gorgeous, me thinks….
Envisioned as snack bowl.
15cm wide, 5,5cm tall
